About Us

In early 2023, we converted the tennis club’s hitting wall into two pickleball courts. By the end of the year, we were granted permission by the municipality to transform the old, dilapidated courts in the central part of the park into eight beautiful pickleball courts. Within less than a year, our membership grew to more than 50 players.

The inaugural Pretoria interclub league was launched in late 2023, featuring Rietondale, Municipality (Munnies), and Waverley pickleball clubs. Our first club championship was launched in May 2024, and our second club champs in April 2025 saw massive growth! Some staggering stats: We had 112 entries for club champs 2025, in the Mixed doubles, Singles, and Doubles categories, with a total of 208 games played.

2025 is the breakout year. We successfully completed massive upgrades to our courts, and successfully hosted the first annual Pickleball South Africa Gauteng Provincial tournament.
